Found this rare sestertius in ongoing auction (one day left go, today).




Sestertius 104 - 107 A.D. Obv. : IMP CAES NERVAE TRAIANO AVG GER DAC P M TR P COS V P P.

Bust with laurel wreath and aegis over the left shoulder on the right.

Rev. : S P Q R OPTIMO PRINCIPI / S C.

Emperor with lance on horseback riding to the right over a kneeling Dac.

d. 33 mm. w. (approx) 22 g. Ref. BMC 836; MIR 203 c.

The Dacian Wars (101–102, 105–106) were two military campaigns fought between Rome and Dacia.
